jaasiel duarte-terrazas is an interdisciplinary designer with growing experience in detail-rich environments, adaptive reuse, residential, and commercial spaces. His work is preoccupied with the poetic link between art and architecture, and is sensitive to matters of material, light, and atmosphere.
jaasiel received a master of architecture from the college of architecture, planning and design (APDesign) at kansas state university. since then, he has been a guest juror and critic in architecture education. Jaasiel is an adjunct instructor of architecture at the school of science and engineering, department of architecture, urban planning, and design (AUPD) at the university of missouri, kansas city.
he developed editorial skills as an editor for the 42nd volume of Oz Journal.
